About Eric Luu
Major: Environmental Studies
Expected Graduation: May 2021
I joined the Student Environmental Alliance the spring semester of my freshman year. Being a member of the SEA has been an amazing opportunity for me to get actively involved in helping to address environmental issues on campus and in the community and create positive change in our world!
I've always been passionate about nature, spending a lot of time as a child in my backyard and at playgrounds, and as I've grown older, spending time in nature around my home, visiting state and national parks, and working in forest preserves. After seeing the documentary series Years of Living Dangerously, I began to understand the interconnection between humanity and nature, and how issues affecting the environment also affect people. Because of this, I'm interested in an interdisciplinary approach to environmental solutions, combining disciplines like ecology, politics, and social justice.
When I'm not studying for classes or doing SEA work, I'm either playing my guitar and singing, gardening, napping, spending time outside, or learning something new about the beautiful about the world we live in!
