Hello! I’m Rosie, SEA’s current treasurer. I got involved with SEA because I am passionate about sustainability and environmentalism and SEA is filled with people who love those things too. Generally, environmental issues that involve economics greatly interest me.
As a club member, I’ve spent a lot of time working on SIP (Sustainable Investment Portfolio) trying to promote divesting from Loyola’s investments in fossil fuels and promoting carbon pricing. Now as treasurer, I am responsible for the club’s budget and fundraising.
Beyond SEA, I am a sustainability intern in the Institute for Environmental Sustainability. I enjoy hiking, canoeing, swimming, skiing, and all types of macrophytes. I am also in Loyola’s Clay Club because pottery is fun (even though I’m rubbish at it). In the future, I hope to go to law school and become an environmental lawyer.
