About Brian Thompson
Community Partnerships Chair Majors: Environmental Science Expected Graduation: May 2023 I joined SEA during the Fall semester of my freshman year as a way to not only meet other environmentally conscious Loyola students, but also to have an opportunity to push for meaningful change on campus. The people in the organization are incredibly welcoming and share a passion for making Loyola a greener community. I became interested in environmental science after taking a class on it in high school. I’ve always enjoyed puzzles and problem solving, so I figured that climate change and ecological degradation are two of the biggest problems that need solving in the world today. SEA has helped me to gain experience in environmental advocacy and justice, as well as helped me make connections with environmental leaders in the Chicago area. In addition to participating in SEA, I enjoy watching basketball and playing games with friends. I also love to play jazz music and explore the city. |
