Hi! My name’s Samantha, and I’m majoring in Environmental Policy. I first knew I wanted to study the environment and how best to protect it when I went on visits to the Morton Arboretum. Hiking with my family and learning about the variety of trees in my area sparked a love for nature that has inspired me to pursue an environmental policy degree and join SEA during my first semester.
The community and ambition of this organization have helped continuously inspire my passion for the environment. I’m currently SEA’s Community Partnerships Chair, and I hope to help anyone and everyone with a love for the environment to find a place with SEA.
I also love running, John Hughes movies, and scrunchies. I’ve volunteered with various animal shelters and the Cook County Forest Preserves.
